History:

In the year 1987, Kappa Delta Chi was founded by the four intelligent women: Cythnia Garza, Nellie Flores, Irene Montoya and Melissa Montoya at Texas Tech University. Today, Kappa Delta Chi, Inc. consists of more than 50 chapters nationwide. Kappa Delta Chi, Inc. has become more than just a sisterhood, but an organization networking each sister for success. Young women of all races, backgrounds, and diversities are all devoted into giving back to the community and empowering one another to become successful leaders.

The Outrageous Omicron chapter of Kappa Delta Chi was established at Texas State University on October 4, 1998 thanks to six driven ladies:

 

  • Veronica Rubi Villasenor

  • Abigal Ramirez

  • Gina Garcia

  • Kasie Holguin

  • Erica De La Garza

  • Ysela Muzquiz 

 

Since then, the chapter has been a home to many young women.  Amongst the sisterhood, there are lawyers, teachers, artists, moms, athletes, etc.  Diversity is binded in our sorority through the support and love we have for each other.  Kappa Delta Chi is a lifelong sisterhood.
